From Concept To Completion
Stone Building Facade Features & Benefits
100% Natural
Panels are made from 100% natural North American quarried stone, so every panel has its own unique beauty.
UV Resistant
Because the panels are 100% natural stone, they resist fading from sun and weather—ensuring your façade stays timeless.
Climate Defiant
Built to withstand expansion and contraction in both extremely hot and freezing conditions.
Lightweight
Weighing just 40% of traditional granite panels, these ultralight units simplify installation and reduce structural load.
Design Versatility
Thin and lightweight, Stonitex panels open up architectural possibilities previously unattainable with heavier stone façades.
Mitered Corners
You can create clean, sharp exterior corners with mitered returns, giving a sophisticated, dimensional effect.
Flexural Strength
Reinforced with carbon-fiber mesh, panels boast ten times the flexural strength of a conventional 30 mm stone slab.
Large Format
The system supports large-format panels—thanks to its slender profile and reduced weight—expanding visual and design flexibility.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a stone building facade?
A stone building facade is basically a decorative outer covering constituted of natural stone panels. It provides a building with a classic, sophisticated look and, at the same time, shields it against the elements. Stonitex takes this concept a step further by using lightweight, reinforced panels that are easier to install and still retain the beauty of natural stone.
Why would someone choose a stone facade building over other materials?
How durable is a stone facade exterior?
A stone facade exterior is built to last. The panels are fade and crack-resistant and can withstand extreme temperature changes, so they look as good as the day they are installed years later. They are made with reinforced backing and are weatherproof to withstand the most extreme weather.
Can a house with a stone facade look modern?
Definitely, a house with a stone facade does not imply a rustic or traditional design. Stone can be used to achieve clean, modern appearances with thin, large-format panels. Many architects use it to incorporate classic materials with modern design.
How heavy are stone facade panels compared to traditional stone?
Are stone facades difficult to maintain?
Not at all. One of the advantages of a stone facade is low maintenance. They are inherently resistant to dirt, UV and moisture. Cleaning is generally just a matter of mild soap and water, and the surface remains fresh with little effort.
Where can stone facades be used besides houses?
Although most people imagine a house with a stone facade, these systems are also suitable in commercial projects, offices, and institutional buildings. They apply to exterior walls, columns, or even interior feature walls, providing architects and designers with considerable flexibility.
