“Our favorite part of the Solstex system is its dual functionality. With traditional photovoltaic systems, you need to worry about compatibility/warranty issues with other building envelope elements, and the systems themselves have relatively long payback periods. With Solstex you get the energy benefits from the PV and you get to discount the cost of the system against traditional cladding materials. On top of that, the system is visually stunning."

"Brandon - It was a pleasure working with you and Elemex. Having never worked with Elemex previously, you and your team provided a seamless submittal process and communicated well throughout the project. The panel installation went well and we had a very good installer that had done sintered ceramic panels in the past."

Where function and design come together

Rear Ventilated Rainscreen

Our Rear Ventilated Rainscreen System breathes freely and allows panels to repel water and debris. Pressure-equalized system allows moisture to escape. Our systems have passed the AAMA 508-07 test for pressure equalization.

A rainscreen system is an exterior wall detail where the cladding stands off from the water barrier applied to the sheathing to create a capillary break and to allow drainage and evaporation.

A Pressure-Equalized Rainscreen has a closed joint via infill strips that act as air dams in both vertical and horizontal joints. The air pressure equalizes and keeps rain and snow from getting driven into the wall cavity.
