Accessibility Statement
Effective Date: October 26, 2026 Last Updated: October 26, 2026
Elemex® (“Elemex”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to providing a barrier-free experience for our clients, partners, employees, job applicants and everyone who visits our website or contacts us.
1. Our Commitment
We provide our goods, services and facilities in a way that respects the dignity and independence of people with disabilities, and we give people with disabilities the same opportunity to access them as everyone else. We are committed to meeting the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and its Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation.
2. Our Website
Our goal is for elemex.com to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA, as the AODA requires, and we work towards WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Recent improvements include a “Skip to content” link and a clearly visible outline that shows where you are when you move through the site with a keyboard.
Some older pages, downloadable documents and content provided by others, such as embedded videos and maps, may not yet fully meet these guidelines. If any part of the site is difficult to use, please let us know and we will provide the information in another way.
3. Customer Service
- Assistive devices: you are welcome to use your own assistive devices when dealing with us.
- Service animals: service animals are welcome in the parts of our premises that are open to the public.
- Support persons: a support person may accompany you on our premises.
- Service disruptions: if a facility or service that people with disabilities rely on is temporarily unavailable, we will post a notice explaining the reason, how long it is expected to last and any alternatives.
4. Employment
All our job postings include an accessibility and accommodation statement. Hiring managers tell candidates selected for an interview that accommodation is available on request, and tell successful candidates about our policies for accommodating employees with disabilities when making an offer. Hiring managers work with candidates and Human Resources to decide on the right accommodation and make sure it is in place.
All managers and employees share the responsibility of treating employees and customers, current and prospective, fairly and in a way that respects their dignity and independence.
5. Information in Another Format
On request, we provide information, including the content of this website and our product documents, in an accessible format or with communication supports. We do this in a timely manner, at no extra cost, and in a way that takes your needs into account.
6. Feedback
We welcome feedback on how we provide accessible products, services and information. You can contact us by email, phone, mail or in person, using the details below. We will acknowledge your feedback and respond within 3 business days. Feedback can also be provided in an accessible format on request.
7. Our Policies
A complete list of our accessibility materials, training program, policies and other background information is available from Human Resources on request, in an accessible format if you need one.
