Episode 34 – Case Study of the ette Hotel in Florida

The luxurious ette Hotel is located only a few miles South of the famous theme park in Florida and is set to open in the summer of 2021.

The marble finish on the front entrance of the building uses the Ceramitex® Sintered Ceramic Facade System which complements the marble surfaces in the lobby space.

The architect and owner were looking for a woodgrain option for around the pool and the facade of the building, but needed it to be durable enough for a high-velocity zone. Ceramitex® was proposed as an alternative to natural wood for the superior strength and durability, and the classic walnut brown woodgrain appearance is a perfect choice for this modern and elegant hotel.

Ceramitex® is North America Code Compliant and meets or exceeds fire and system testing. It has been tested for High Velocity Hurricane Zones up to ±66.6psf and received Florida Product Approval FL26341-R0 (approved for use inside HVHZ – High Velocity Hurricane Zone)
