It has been used extensively with\u00a0Elemex\u00a0products to bridge the gap between\u00a0building\u00a0substrate and\u00a0cladding system.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0Enviroclip\u00a0is comprised of brake formed 16GA galvanized steel, with a 1\/8\u201d thick cork\u00a0thermal separation layer\u00a0on two faces.\u00a0The cork acts as a\u00a0dual\u00a0thermal break. The first thermal break occurs\u00a0between\u00a0the building substrate and the\u00a0Enviroclip. The second thermal break occurs between\u00a0the\u00a0Enviroclip\u00a0and a continuous L-angle. The dimensions, spacing, number and type of fasteners for the\u00a0Enviroclip\u00a0are\u00a0determined by local engineering authorities to support loads of each cladding assembly.<\/p>\n<p>To use the\u00a0Enviroclip, the first decision that must be made is the direction of the framing. There are two options: vertical, and horizontal.\u00a0Enviroclips\u00a0can be installed on a variety of substrates, but keep in mind stud spacing when attaching to a stud wall.\u00a0Once the direction of framing is chosen, the next step is to install the\u00a0Enviroclips\u00a0to the building using substrate appropriate anchors. From there, adjustable L-angles are installed in a manner that they span the gaps between each\u00a0Enviroclip. The L-angles are attached to the\u00a0Enviroclips\u00a0via stainless steel\u00a0TEK\u00a0screws.\u00a0The implementation of stainless steel screws connecting the\u00a0clips and continuous steel angles is also helpful in limiting\u00a0the heat loss through the system.\u00a0Once the L-angles are installed, you are ready to begin panel installation.\u00a0Attaching the exterior cladding to the\u00a0L-angles transfers the cladding load to the\u00a0Enviroclips,\u00a0which,\u00a0in turn,\u00a0transfers the load of the system directly to the building\u2019s sub\u00a0structure.<\/p>\n<p>Contact us for more information.
